Hi!
I recently reformatted my computer and installex windows XP (sp2). I then installed the software for my ixus from the cd. I have problems copying files from the camera. All I want is to plug in my camera, browse the files in explorer, mark the ones I want and copy them. I do not want unnecessary software that shows me previews or make things slow.
Any ideas on how to do this without spending money on an external card reader? The ixus shows up as an icon under my computer, but if I double-click it an empty folder opens. Canon Zoombrowser EX memory card utility claims the card is empty, zoom browser same thing. Camerawindow DC seems to work, but only copies the entire card (I can't select single files or even see the file names!). Besides, it creates 20-50 different folders on HDD, one for each day, so it takes a really long time to re-organize everything. Extremely annoying.
To make a long question short: how do I get my ixus to work like a card reader so I can copy the files I want? Thanks in advance! :)
