View Full Version : OCS2 How Do I tighten A Loose Shoe

The shoe on my Off Camera Shoe Cord 2 is coming loose. I've opened the lower shell and can see the bottom of 4 screws that must come down from the metal shoe and anchor the shoe into the internal metal frame. However, if you own one of these you know the screw heads are covered in the shoe itself.
How do I remove the cover and tighten these screws?
TIA

If you lift the metal shoe from the back and pull it at the same time, it should just slide out, giving you access to the screw heads. Let us know how you get on.

I found an image of the "Spring Plate" removed. Still looking for the how. Thanks

I'lll give that a try. I missed your post at first since I had a reply window open and was distracted.

I was in and out in a minute. All four screws took 3/4 to one full turn to snug up. I'll use my back up OCS2 tonight and then do the longer screw with jam nut conversion (see photo link) in the next couple of days.
I'm the track photgrapher at a harness racing venue and all the walking from office to track and back 15 times a night has the rig being manuvered around a lot as I walk through the crowds.
Thanks again.
