Interesting, thanks for that. What has been happening with cards, does anyone know? I've not experienced any problems with my 80x 512mb Lexar...or at least I don't think I have!

"Recent instances of lost images have been reported by customers using Lexar Professional 80x and other makes of CompactFlash cards in the Canon cameras listed above. Canon and Lexar both extensively test their products prior to release to ensure compatibility across product lines. In this instance, both companies investigated the occurrences and were able to identify the problem through extreme testing and found the reported problems to be rare and difficult to reproduce."

I just bought a 2 gig 80X that fits the return #. My 9 month old 1 gig 80x does not.
Since I just bought the 2 gig, B&H is offering to take it and ship me a new one but can not guarantee that the new one will be the improved one.

I am not sending it to Lexar as there print clearly states that you may be given a used refurbished card.

I would return it to B&H and go buy a new 2 gig locally but the discount I got from B&H steers me away from that option.

Maybe I will just keep what I have. I have had not problems. The press release does say that the problem is very isolated.

I'm a bit weird about getting refurbished stuff. I only spent about 100 bucks for my cards anyway. I can live with it.
