Jasper-Alberta, I was Going back to the lodge and few Elks were in the area calling. The light was low, took the shot at F 2.8, 1/80 shutter speed, ISO 800, 200mm focal length, hand held.
Critique please.
Regards, Ayman

Cool subject! That's a great capture. The only thing I could say is that you should have shot it from a further distance with a longer lens. This way you could have compressed the scene and produced a better bokeh.

Great repetition of the shape of the horns (antlers? antenae?)in the background branches; and I really like how separated the horns are from the background. Is that natural light hitting the right edges?

Great picture. Aside from getter better light, using a tripod, and getting a sharper shot it looks great for a hand held shot with the available lighting.

I think it's quite nice. The subject is clearly articulated in a natural setting and the colors are subdued adding atmospheric effect. I like the framing and choice in where to place the background elements.
