A Continental 767-400 leaving Houston IAH.
I like the shot, but am also a bit bored with it. Any suggestions? Maybe a frame? I guess I need some clouds, but would that would ruin the simplicity?
It needs something more than my skills can currently give it....

Always difficult exposing these shots.
I find it looks ok as a silhouette, and could maybe even darken the shadows, to make it solid black. But if you were intending on shooting the detail of the aircraft out on an overcast day, you really need to shoot +0.3 or +0.7 Exposure compensation.
Looks fine without a frame. I hate things which deter from the original image. An image alone should display the mood you wished to create without it. Obviously there are some ways around this, when frames can make an image look special. But for online images, frames just aren't the same as physical wooden frames on the wall.

I knew I was shooting in silhouette, it was one of the last shots of the day. The skies were clear and the sun had just gone below the horizon. I got pleanty of detail on earlier shots, but really liked how the flaps looked in silhouette on this 767.
