Hi! Im experiencing an interrestin thing. I cant fully charge my battery, which came with the 40D. I get a 10-12 blinks out of the charger and then the light goes on solid. So the charger charges it only for 1minute and signalize that its charged, but its not! I charged this way 3 batteries and non of them was charged. Today I went to a phototrip. I thought that all my batteries are fully charged, but when I used them, I discovered that they werent! This means my batteries are dead? They are only 1,5 years old. What to do now? Buy a new battery or the charger is bad? Anyone experiencing the same thing? thanks

Sounds like a bad charger to me. Do you have access to another charger? Maybe though a friend or camera shop? If so, try that charger and you will at least figure out if it is the batteries or the charger. I would put my money on the defective charger. Good luck.

Maybe in the camera shop... I must visit them anyway. I have another problem too, whit my exposure button. Doesnt always work. I hope they can fix it. Maybe I try to let the charger charge them a night long... Ill see! Thank you for the replay!

How many cycles have they had in 1.5 yrs?

For the record, solid night doesn't mean fully charged, it only means 90%+ (read your manual) I usually leave it on for a while after the light goes solid to get 100%.
