Hi, I have a Powershot A85 that I've taken hundreds of pictures with. Other than the immensley slow time it takes to actually take a picture I do quite enjoy the camera and I like how they included all the functions like the old Rebel. I am going to Hawaii soon and was wondering what lens attachment would be best suited for landscapes, and if they attachments are even worth it.
Thanks

Hey - I have the A85 as well. I have both the Wideangle converter and the T-Con. I use both quite a bit and almost never shoot without them. When using either you can't use the flash because it blocks the bottom right of the frame. I have a Sunpak (cheap 25 bucks on amazon) flash slave adapter and I put my flash from my old Minolta SLR on it and I use that. It works perfect. If you are going to be close to your landscape pictures I recomend (sp?) the wide angle because you can fit more of the scape into a frame. If you are going to be a good distance away I recomend the Teleconverter. It doubles the zoom length of your current zoom. I think both are worthwhile.

I agree completely with Pacifist. I do exactly the same thing with my A70. Wish I were going to Hawaii.

I am thinking of getting lens attachments for my A95. Any recommendations as to brand, seller? The Canon orignals are pricey. Are those being sold at eBay worth it.

try here: http://www.lensmateonline.com. their lens adapter is much better than the one from canon too.

I also have the A85 and want to get the T-con lens as well, but I'm having a hard time figuring out if I need to buy an adapter to use it. What model # T-Con do you have? Do you need an adapter? If so, what's the model #. Thanks a bunch!
