Hi everyone,

When shooting outdoors for headshots, what metering mode is best? Spot?

Also, how do you go about finding the right light, not too harsh, not too bright, etc.

I was out today and I realize 3pm may not have been the best time of day, but I tried to shoot in the shade and the pictures just didn't pop. Some somehow even had a reddish hue to them and I'm not sure why. I shot RAW.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks! I will check it out. I think I have to sign up to see the images, I think, but it sounds very insightful.

I am learning how to use the Sunny 16 rule too. That should help also, right?
