I think this is a OK shot, that needs either fill (either flash or reflector) to lift the shadows at the eyes and/or to be shot another time of day. Pose seems to work well on you. Subject has the "model look", shoot it again at dusk and/or get a friend to hold your reflector. I'd like to see it then. Better than my self portraits.

The contrast seems typical of a bright sunny day with direct sunlight on the subject. That usually requires some careful pp in order to get the contrast down and get detail in both the shadows and highlights.

It looks like the contrast killed some of the detail in the shadows, and I would assume that a little fill light from a reflector would have taken care of that easily.

Turning the head slightly left would let the light just hit the right cheekbone and create some more interesting modeling of the facial contours.
