#3 is the best out of the 4

Wow Gord, your pan turned out pretty good actually.

Great job on 3! 2 would've been cool (to me) to have more of the side of the car shown

I had a bunch but that is the one that had turned out best on the panning shots I took

The car in #1 is out of focus.
#2 looks to be a little underexposed.
I like #3, great pan.
The idea in #4 is good, but the car is a little too blurry IMO, you can't even tell what it is if you haven't seen the rest of the series.

ironic that the panning shots are better than the static shots.... (which would be assumed to be easier)

I know eh? LOL when I looked through them most the static ones were underexposed badly, or the window was overexposed badly.
I have only been playing with an slr for 2 months now and up until that I never tried photoshop or lightroom ect.. so everything is a learning experience for me

Nice concepts, but all but the second one are oof. I can't read the license plate, and the panning shot focus is soft too. Great start, just need a little better technique perhaps?

I just need to learn the camera better, learn how to use my settings rather then just matching the lines up on the meter. But I thought for a first try it is a good start for someone who never picked up a dslr before this summer

Keep at it everyone starts out and learns as they go,so no need for apologies there.
One thing I found with my 400D was not to trust the meter too much,I found by going a notch or two to the + side was giving me better shots. So get out there and practice, practice, practice.

That license plate is awesome!
Good work with your pans, that's crazy how those turned out better than the stills :/
