Drop down boxes not displaying

When trying to do a search I can't get the drop down boxes to display. See screen shot. It's the same with all the other drop down boxes.

I'm on an iMac and haven't changed anything recently. Any ideas? Thanks.

First thing to try when anything starts acting strange on POTN is to clear your browser's cache.

If you are using IE8 I find that clicking the compatibility button and this often fixers most of my problems.
