this is my 6 year old daughter courtney,i thought it would be a good idea to tip a pan of warm heinz baked beans over here head !! a little harsh maybe !! but i need the practise !! to have her eyes open would have (bean) better i think? your thoughts will be greatly valued!!!

My two cents,
I think its a great photo and would like to do something similar like that to my kids.I like the lighting alot. However,maybe its my monitor but the right cheek looks blown out a little.Would 1/3 of a stop less been better?

as you can imagine to catch the beans falling was more luck than good photography, i think this second shot above captured the mood much better as we were having a fantastic time.:lol:

Not much fun cleaning up after the event though!!!! :cry:

i thought it may be a good idea because we all know how children seem to be at there happiest when they are covered in mud or any thing that causes a mess!!
so i thought i may be able to capture some of that magic but in a controlled lighting set up, still not sure why i used beans though!!!!!!!:rolleyes:

the shots were taken in my garden shed,which i painted matt black,i used i portaflash unit with a soft box positioned to the left of the model, shutter speed set 160 ( just slow enought to to portray downards movement of the beans but fast enough to keep model reasonably sharp), apperture set 5.6, lens canon standard 35mm, prop- heinz baked beans!!!:)
