Has any onre got/tried one? I'm thinking about buying a 350D, just a little concerned about the physical size. I was wondering if I added a battery grip, wether that would help? I understand there have been some problems with the 20D grip, does the 350`d grip suffer the same problems?

The grip is a must have if you have large hands. Also, if you are considering some of the beefier lenses, the grip adds a nice balance. I use a grip with the 24-70L, and it works great. I have heard of no problems similar to the 20D's grip.

You have to buy the grip!, even if it costs >120 dlls. The camera will feel like a point and shoot without the grip. There's no problems like the ones seen with the BP for the 20D, but it will eat up AA batteries in two shakes of a lamb's tail. On another note, you can use one or two of the Li-Ion batteries on the grip. I bought an extra battery because some jack-ass salesman told me that the grip required two..... BS; it works fine on just one.

I love mine. Got to get the grip for the 20D also. It gives me so much extra power that I never have to think about batteries (although I always have charged spares)

So if I get this grip I can still use just one battery right? I would mostly want it because you can shoot vertical style alot more comfortably.

Also, can you use AA batteries and the 350D battery at the same time in the grip?

Yup, you only need one NB2LH battery to operate. You can also go to www.sterlingtek.com and get an extra battery for about 20 dlls. I wouldn't recommend using the 6 AA batteries though.....the camera will drain those pretty quickly.
