Hi all,

Here is a couple of shots from the SuperGP event held here on the Gold Coast last weekend.

After the dissapointment of the A1GP cars not showing up, the V8 Supercars put on a great show to make up for it.

Follow my flickr link to see more from this event in the 'New Stuff' set.

C & C always welcome.

Hey Daz,
These are OK, but I reckon there's some stronger pics on your flickr site.
The car shots are OK too - hahaha.
Seriously though, I don't reckon these are your best shots of V8's from that set.
So pi$$ed that I couldn't get up there.

Yeah I actually struggled to pick which shots to display.

Thanks all for the comments. Hope we can keep the event going.

Hi 328somewhere,

The cars compete in Australias top level 'tin-top' category called V8 Supercars. It is a 2 make series with the Commodore made by Holden (General Motors Australian division) and the Falcon made by Ford here in Australia.

If you try logging onto www.v8supercars.com.au you should be able to get any info you need. There are still a couple of rounds to go before the season ends.

Thanks for your interest in the pics and cars,

Daz

Well done, Daz - it looks like you found the only 2 holes in the entire fence line to shoot from. I had to do my best from the roof of the Seacrest...fairly happy with the results, considering...

Thanks rabbits. Any chance you could post some shots. I would love to get up on a rooftop to shoot some of this event.

BTW another member has posted some shots from this event and he found a couple of other holes I never knew existed.
