I guess this new Phillip Bloom 7D video launched today. And I'm trying to figure out who is going to spend $135 dollars on it and if it's worth that investment? Maybe this thread will shine some light on that.

The reviewer gave it a 10 out of 10.

You know, I absolutely love watching Phillip Blooms work and tutorials on Vimeo, and have nothing but the utmost respect for the guy, and I'm sure the DVD is great, and I would do damned near anything to have lunch with the guy. But training DVDs for cameras never seemed like good buy to me, because I have never seen one that told me anything I couldn't have figured out by playing with the camera myself.

Perhaps this disc is different, but he provides a number of useful tutorials on Vimeo and anything can surely be found out by trial and error. Just make sure you give yourself enough time with the camera before you shoot anything important.

Just my two cents :)

Well something to think about. I'm tempted to get it even more now.

it might seems a lot of money but I havent seen anyone else put together a DVD yet. might save you the headache of finding the right source on youtube or forum. so it might worth it.

all of the topic listed on his DVD is well-covered on youtube.

I don't know about here but it comes up for sale from time to time on dvxuser, used. I also bought one used and found it a good value for that. I knew a lot of what he covers from looking around the forums and looking through Philip's blog but it's a nice summary of the topics to keep for future reference.
