New 350xt Oner

Hi everyone, this is my first post. I have been enjoying reading this forum and learning so much from all of you great folks.

I have the 17-85 lens and the 50 1/8. The 50 1/8 is very sharp and shows wonderful colors, my 17-85 is not as good as the 50 1/8. My question is which wide zoom would give the same or come close to the 50 1/8 in performance. Should I buy L like the 17-40L or 10-22?

Are you planning on keeping the 17-85? if so id recommend getting the 10-22, if not then get the 17-40L

I,m not that atached to the 17-85, I would sell it if there were a better lens.
