First post in a looooong time because these are the first photons I've nabbed since last year. Unmodified 40D with a (sadly, rented) Canon 300mm f2.8L IS (IS turned off) on an Atlas EQ-G. ~15x2min exposures, flats and darks in DSS. Levels, curves, saturation and a little Carboni magic in PS. I took about an hour and a half's worth of exposures, but between mount issues and cloud issues I had to toss about two-thirds of them. :(

Impressive.
3 Galaxies in one shot, that 300mm must of been a hartbreak when you brought it back! That lens produces nice flat fields!
It is heavy?

Dave from my neck of the woods! Where and when did you find a clear patch of sky to do this magnificent image?

Thanks, everyone, for the kind words!

Last Tuesday night out in western Loudoun - started setting up around 10, it really cleared out a little after 1AM, and I put everything away around 4:30AM. :)
Impressive.

Sending it back this afternoon. A little over 5.5 pounds, I think...

Beautiful image Dave. No signs of rust from where I'm sittin'.
The skies in this part of the southeast have been tough on imaging for months now. We've had a few great nights lately just during the weekdays or flooded with Moonlight.
