Uh, well, first things first. Calm down....

Second, knowing your budget and what you like to photograph would be a good start....

Guessing your shooting with a film camera. So, definately going to want that 300mm range if your shooting wild life and stuff. Most people think 200mm is too short on a 1.6x crop factor camera so... 300mm on a full frame still wont be much at all.

I wouldn't suggest going with that 28-300mm Tamron. Hyper zooms don't have very good image quality.

If your shooting still subjects the Canon 75-300mm IS lens would be great. A little soft, but not too expensive, and the IS is nice.

If you can afford it, the 70-300mm DO IS lens would be fantastic! That's a really great lens, but sells for over a thousand bucks.

So, once again, budget and shooting needs please! :)
