Well, I was going to have pictures from my latest shoots...but here two pictures, from my last 2 shoots...I use a rebel xti....

I have been doing shoots for family and friends for a while now and I'm hoping to start up my business at the beginning of 2010...I really want to get as good as I can, so all your help is greatly appreciated.

I edit with iphoto and a program called photoscape. I would love to learn how to edit better and which programs I should use for editing, etc. So if you can help me out in this area, that would be great!

Thanks in advance!

CC is greatly appreciated!

wow you gotta make it easier for people to reference the shots. eg i like the one with the kid on the floor with the wood behind - maybe a bridge? but it needs contrast and a lil pop.

its the third one up from here i think.

Numbers on the images would be nice and you'd better pick the two you really want to show 'cause eventually a Moderator is going to truncate this to only two attached images per the posting rules.

Two Attached or Eight Embedded...

First shot is ok, but it is a little too centered for my taste, and it needs something to make it pop, adding some contrast would help.

Second shot... well it looks like a snapshot to me, it is s bit underexposed, so if you have the raw file you can fix that and it would help. And again it seems a little flat, increase the contrast and adjust to make it pop.

I think most of us use photoshop to edit, there are other programs that would work for you though if you are not ready to pay that much for software. Learn to shoot RAW (maybe you do already, I don't know) it will help a lot.

I do not consider myself a great expert or anything, so take these comments with a grain of salt haha. I think you have a good start here, and there are just a few things that you can work on to make a significant change in your final product. Easy changes :)

Thank you so much for the cc! I am going to work on that. I don't shoot in RAW, but I am going to start. I want to be able to adjust my images more.

Also, I have Photoshop...but have no idea how to use it so i'm going to have to play with it.

I looked at your blog - you have some great work there!

Again thank you!
