Thank You. This is located in the old section of downtown Tucson to the north of the convention center or thereabouts.

Thank you. It appears a tad more dense here than the original where you can actually see the doorknob is missing.

Very nice composition.
Thanks James. I rather fancied the simplicity of it.

nice shot, nice composition . SMALL suggestion: I'd have shifted a few feet to the left to decrease the amount of the door falling in to the shadow of the frame. this would have revealed more of the illuminated portion of the door and frame.
And I would have cropped closer to the bottom of the wall revealing less of the street. But that's me.

Excellent critique and I thank you for taking the time Phil.

You're welcome.
Do you shoot RAW? If you shoot in RAW you are better able to recover blown highlights in the wall, as well as reveal more detail in the dark shadows. I shoot many similar shots myself - doors & windows (see my Flickr as I just returned from Mexico with many similar shots). When shooting in harsh light the shadows are often too dark and the highlights to bright. This is a situation when RAW comes in handy.
incidently, what airplane is in your avatar photo?

Good shot, Jay. I have similar shots from that same area. I like Tucson a lot.
