Experimenting

Hey all You know how it is. Lunch breaks at work with nothing to do, time going so slow it's almost going backwards. This was me yesterday so i did a bit of playing and experimenting with some photo's of mine.

This is the original, it's the Lychgate at Boxley village church, near Maidstone in Kent. The original is a 3 shot HDR processed in photomatix.

This is the re-edited shot. I've tried to give it a more painted / hand created look. I'm not 100% sure if the colours are correct, my work monitor is considerably darker than my home monitor. The edit looks fine on the work monitor so may be a bit too bright.

I still like the deep blacks of the original.
They put a nice dramatic mood on it.
Nice contrast of moods between the two though.

I like the first one a lot, but it looks a bit soft.
