Hello, I recently purchased a Canon Digital Rebel (EOS300D) and an IBM ThinkPad T32 laptop. I would love to be able to take photos with my camera, and have them displayed immediately/automatically on the Laptop screen. Is this possible with simple/inexpensive consumer software? If so, what would you recommend?
Thanx

Windows xp has it built in where you can make a slideshow out of your jpegs. You should have raw software with your rebel to get a jpeg if you shoot raw.

Your pictures are normally downloaded into my documents in the pictures folder.

how does one access this feature of windows XP? when you said "You should have raw software with your rebel to get a jpeg if you shoot raw." do you mean i should shoot in JPEG+RAW mode (the camera creates a RAW image, and an identical JPEG image)?
Thanx

I am not sure about EOS300 but I have a power shot prop with Video out. I can use that to connect to my TV. If this feature is available in you camera, you can just have a small TV there and simply playback you pic on the TV right after you take it without first having to download it. If you have to show it on a monitor instead of a TV, there are TV-to-VGA converters out there as well. These simple devices take TV signal and convert it for VGA monitor.

Unfortunately w/ a TV i would either either need to carry around a long extension cord, or a lot of batteries, niether of which are very convenient. the laptop is perfect because it has everything nessesary, i just have to carry the laptop around, nothing else. the TV-VGA converter wouldn't work with my laptop either because my laptop dosn't have a TV input or a VGA input.
