Lowepro Edit 100 Review
The LowePro Edit 100 is a small bag, suitable for larger P&S cameras or small video cameras. I purchased this bag for my Canon G11 because I was searching for a bag that would hold my G11 and a small external flash and this bag seemed to fit the bill.
On the outside, the bag is made of heavy duty water-resistant nylon. Zippers seem of decent quality but I have seen better. They do have some material that overlaps the zippers on the outside to make them more weather resistant.
Comes with a basic shoulder strap that has plastic hooks. Also has a belt loop that closes via velcro (so no taking off the belt to attach this bag).

The handle on top has a small amount of padding to it, which increases the comfort if you wish to carry the bag that way.
In all, there are 5 pockets: 1 main compartment, 1 inside the lid, 2 on the sides and one on the front.
The main compartment does in fact hold a G11 and the small Sunpak RD2000 flash (though I used a cardboard representation, as I don't have the flash yet). They fit very snuggly, with no room for moving around. Removing either will probably require 2 hands. There is a good 1/2 - 3/4 inch of space left in the main compartment, plenty of room for a neck, wrist or hand strap. The main problem with this bag, is there is no divider in the main compartment. So I had to get creative and put my flash in a velvet bag to help protect the flash and camera from scratching each other up. The padding in the main compartment is very good and seems like it would provide good protection from bumps.
Looking at the specs for the Canon 270EX flash versus the Sunpak rd2000 flash, I have doubts as to whether this bag could fit both the camera and 270EX flash.

If you were to put a G11 in the bag by itself, I would put it with the tripod socket facing down. That would give you the best fit and would prevent the camera from moving while in transport.
The front pocket it protected by a flap. The flap closes with velcro, while the front pocket closes with a zipper.
The front pocket has a small mesh pocket that holds 6 AA batteries comfortably. Within the front pocket, I was able to put in 6 AA batteries (in the mesh pocket) and 2 of the G11 batteries (in front). It was a struggle to close the pocket and it added some bulk, but the batteries did fit.

Each of the side pockets has a flap that closes via velcro. In these pockets, I was able to fit 2 Canon G11 batteries in each pocket and the flap closed comfortably.

In the pocket underneath the lid, I was able to fit 4 AA batteries (though this pocket is most likely for extra memory cards, due to how deep it is). This is a mesh pocket with a zipper.
In the end, I was very pleased with this bag. It fits what I need it to and seems to provide plenty of protection from the weather and and bumps it may take. I would recommended definitely recommend this bag to anyone traveling with a G-series camera and a small flash.
