Hi all,
i have an EOS 10D.
I have seen the new EOS 350D, very small, also if is in plastic body.

Now a must buy a lens for my 10D because i sell my previous lens.

My trouble is: it's better to sell the 10D now and buy a 350D kit or not?
it's much important the sensor upgrade in the 350D or the constuction quality of the 10D?

if i keep my 10D i must buy a lens (spending about 300$), if i sell my 10D i spend about 50-100$ for the difference.

For the travel the 350D is very strong: compact and also the lens are compact (can use the EF-S).

Please help me.

i had a 300D and upgraded to the XT 350D and it is a much sweeter camera.

You stated the 350 is "very small". Is it too small for you? It is too small to me, and it isn't as good in areas as the 10D in my humble opinion. I think people are looking to get better equipment. At best, you would be making an overall break even swap, which isn't good, since you will lose money in the deal.

I'd keep the 10D, as it is still a very good camera (20D is better, but it isn't leaps and bounds better, like the next jump would be). Spend your money on a lens or lenses that you WILL USE. Whenever you make a camera body switch, your lenses will follow.

Did you go to a shop and hold the 350D in your hand? Only you can decide for yourself if you think the 350D is too small etc. for you.

The difference between 8 MP (350D) and 6 MP (10D) is not very great.

I have the 10D and I was tempted to jump ship and get the 20D and follow the crowd. But I've decided to hold off and waite. It sounds like you're not going to get much for your 10D if you decide to sell it. I checked it out and I may be able to get $500 for my 10D. No way was I going to give it away! It's too good of a camera! So I'd keep it! Yes, you would be making a better sensor upgrade, but if you had a decent lens you will be doing quite well with the 10D.

I wish I'd had the 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS Lens. It's a decent lens and if you were go get something, I'd go for that telephoto zoom lens. It runs around $500. This would have rounded out my lenses. But I already have a 70-300mm lens that I bought when I started out a long time ago with a Rebel 35mm camera. I think it does great on a 35mm film camera, but I feel you need a bigger kick when using the DSLRs. Right now, I am very curious about the EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM lens. Would it be worth it? They are both IS lenses and the 1st IS lens is at a fraction of the cost compared to the DO IS lens. Just my 2 cents. Diane
