Well if there are any members also going to this event feel free to say hello, I am the guy with the bald head and POTN strap. I plan on doing some spy candids, and of course shots of the race. This is my first race, so I am excited, but first I am going to spend some time today practicing my panning on the local roads. (and call my police department to let them know what I am doing, they are very paranoid around here)

Dover is a fun track!
Action is out of turn two and going down the backstretch. Cars can get high into 2 and lose it quite easily, and it takes a long time to stop on that backstretch, usually sliding backwards down the inside wall.
There has been some major upgrades to this track in the last couple of years, so I am not certain how the seating is back there. There is a walkover bridge on the area I mentioned, that may interfer with the view from further down the track.
for the best slow speeds for shooting easier, going into 3 or 1 the cars need to brake pretty good.
If you have reach, seats in turn 1/2 look right into the garage area.
for people watching, the concesssion and show area outside the backstretch seating is pretty good.
have fun, but be careful out there.

Thanks for the suggestions, as it turns out my seats are at the beginning of Turn 2, so I should be set for those shots you mentioned. But my biggest reach is my little 75-300. Too bad my bonus money will not be comming till next week, cause that is going towards my 100-400L.
