I love my 17-40L lens. I would really really hate to give it up. At 30mm plus it's as sharp as it gets. But I'm getting soft groups at weddings at wider angles. I'm shooting at ISO 400 and F8 and stil getting some soft groups. Could it be a calibration problem. Just wondering if it would do any good to send it in.
If anyone has experienced this problem I'd appreciate any info or suggestions.
Thanks.

Many here would ask you to post a sample picture or two.

I'd be glad to post a few pics, problem is, by the time you downsize a group shot for the web at the size it needs to be for the forum, I think it's hard to analyze. I'm off to another wedding now, so I'll have to do it later. Will do though.
I think I found the answer to my question though. I did some shots at F8 manually metered with my quantum t2, and used a mono pod, and they look good.
The shots I took of just the Bride and Groom outside though at 17mm in front of the church though look soft. I'll post a few shots as soon as I get time. Might be a day or two.
