Hey all

I'm don't normally take pics of trains but this fella rumbled on by the horse grazing the other day and I went out to catch it the next morning.

It is a restored NZ Railways Ab class loco, this one ran commercially 1917-1969 and is now used for tourist type excursions, this time celebrating 130 years of the Otago central railway.

40D and 85 f/1.8. C&C welcome.

And of course a deisel loco is hiding at the back end... just in case it all goes wrong? :)

I was thinking the same thing when I was going through the pics but they are all pretty much from this perspective... ah well, next time.

Nice countryside. The contrast is a little harsh, & you might have walked down the tracks a few feet to eliminate the pole in the frame?

Looks to me like you do... Wonderful shots!

Just like the train magazines I always looked at growing up.

You should look into submitting your work to them...

(hope you have the above ones protected)

Thank you all for your comments, things to work on for next time. I might give a B&W conversion a go, have to see how it comes out. Cheers
