A 1974 TR6 with the standard door sag. Other than that it looks to be in great shape. No rust in the most common spots and it looks to be modded a bit. All the correct pieces are available still, but with the US dollar in the tank I'm sure the proper bits are more expensive these days. The extra driving lights up front are original Lucas lamps. Pricey bits indeed. They are getting harder and harder to see out and about.

I used to work at a place that sold parts and service for all the British sports cars and sedans. I used to own a 1975 MGB and a 1963 MG Midget Vintage racer. Older British sports cars are so easy to work on, when you know what you're doing with them. It's kinda fun actually. No computers, just a couple carbs, a distributor with points and condenser and in the case of this TR6 a big inline 6 cylinder engine.

Nice catch!

I think the door was just not closed all the way. The car looked so damn perfect, almost restoration like clean and the guy was older. Maybe he didn't slam the door or the seat belt is in the door ;)

Nice catches of a good looking TR. The extra driving lights up front are original Lucas lamps. Pricey bits indeed. I had them on my 'Cuda. Kick them on at night on the Eway, & everyone for two miles ahead moved over to the right! :D

nice - a friend of mine at work bought one, then had to sell it because his wife couldn't push the clutch pedal hard enough to work it. We'd come up with all sorts of vacuum-assisted clutch servo ideas but no, it had to go...

My father had one of those in white. I was supposed to get it when I turned 16 but my parents split. Damn them!

Oh well, at least the house got quieter. :)

Great captures. I have not seen one of these Triumph cars in years...

I worked for the local dealer back then and my memory of them is that they liked to backfire through the carbs which blew out the rubber diaphragm needed to keep the carb operating properly. I always liked them though, and that one does look very nice & I also think the door is open vs sagging. Nice photos.

Wow, the 1970s bumper requirements at their worst!

And I thought the Gran Torino got ugly! ;)

Nice captures for an improvised shoot.
