To make a long story short, i need all the help i can get! After a severe illness for the last year, unemployed do to illness, and flat broke, my son is trying to help me enter the world of studio photography. He has set up a good area in his basement and expects me to go to work..i have a ton of family to practice on, and i'm a quick learner. I was a talented nature photographer 25 yrs ago, so my son is assuming that i know everything, which is incorrect to say the least. I have aquired a Canon EOS Digital /Rebel XT with a Canon 18-55mm lens. I also have a Sigma 70-300 lens, and a Sunpak 738AF flash. I've been researching equipment and figuring out the workings of digital until my head is swimming. I live in a small town in northern British Columbia with limited resources for written material or help. My question is what equipment would you sugest for the camera I have, and what would be my best plan of action to get started. There are so many different types of studio lights out there, and I can't afford to make the wrong choice. To my credit, I am very skilled on Adobe Photoshop 7.0, which I'm excited to work into what I hope to become a new career. All and any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
