I was finally able to get pictures of the Golden Gate bridge without the bridge and/or city being shrouded in fog this past weekend. Here are a few of the many pictures that I took:

The last one's the best, to me, as it pulls in on a specific area of interest. The bridge tower in the foreground and cityscape behind is a nice composition with plenty for your eye to do all the way through the scene.
Nice job getting a clear shot, too. I didn't realize you could shoot the gate without fog...:p

#2 & #4 are great with #4 taking it. I like them both as I have not seen images of this structure from those angles. Very interesting.
#4 is a good detail section with the city in the background. I like that, too.

Great shots, last time i was in SF if it was very gray and couldn't even see downtown from up there.

I like number three for the overall view of the setting, and number four for it's beauty and composition.
Great photos of a great town. Ever eat at the Stinking Rose?

I like the last one the most! Might I ask why your ISO was 400 in some shots? Just curious.

I shoot a lot of hand held bracketed shots for potential HDR images and the +2 and +3 exposures can have low shutter speeds at low ISO. I usually keep the Mark III at ISO 400 to help keep the shutter speeds up.

Thanks, I just saw 1/640 and 1/800 in some shots and was wondering why so fast a shutter speed and ISO 400. Now I understand :)

nice shots. I was there for the first time this past August and it was fogged in every minute of every day.
