Can I buy Body Only In Best Buy Retail Store

I am planning to buy a T1i this year, and i want to spend the stupid gift cards I get there. I want to buy instore with cash I also get around XMAS time. Is this possible?

Just checked the Best Buy website to see if you will be able to get the T1i body only in store...doesn't look like you'll be able to (online only). The only bodies available seem to be the 7D and the 5D2.

And, your point is? This is a collection of people with an interest in photography, and while the vast majority will attempt to help you with answers when they have the information readily at hand, that's doesn't excuse you of the responsibility to do your own due diligence and research.

Being impatient and and short with forum members isn't going to garner you any additional help and may, in fact, result in the opposite effect. If you're not going to buy the camera until later in the year, it seems you could quite easily call or visit the store tomorrow and establish a far more reliable and definitive answer than anyone here on the forum could give you tonight.

just buy it with the lens in store, and then sell the 18-55mm IS(or keep it...it might be better than your 17-85mm)...you'll end up making at least 50 bucks on the whole transaction

If you are thinking about buying only the body, you probably will find a better deal online or from your local stores. Some local stores even haggle a bit for a lower price.
