Was a bit bored this afternoon and found a set of gels so had a go at some weird lighting effects.
All straight out of the camera, shot on a 1D MkII with a 17-40 and a Lensbaby.

[Muffin Princess] Hello, Pete's girlfriend here. I took the photos of him and he took the ones of me. Here is one which I didn't think looked too good in red so I changed it to sepia, what do you think?

I LOVE the first 5 esp 1 and 2. Can you elaborate on lighting for 1 and 4?
I have lensbabies for both my canon eos digital and nikon (cheapy) film cameras. I love seeing people's reactions when I shoot out on the streets.

Thank you :D For number 1, can you see how Pete has his arm in the air and he's looking upwards? That's because he has the flashgun in his hand! We were using 2 of the 580 EX. One on the camera with a blue gel and one elsewhere (we moved it around a lot!) as a slave with a red gel. This was taken using the lensbaby
For number 4, we increased the power on the master with the blue gel and placed the slave with the red gel to my left so both sides of my face were lit up. This was taken using the 17-40. Credit goes to Pete who's been messing about with his flashguns a LOT lately; it's been worth it! :D
As you can see on the first 2, it was broad daylight outside so I was surprised at how dramatic they came out!
The lensbaby is cool isn't it? Takes a lot of getting used to, I can never tell if I've hit a sweet spot or not as it makes me feel like my eyes are all fuzzy!

I like the red better, the sepia looses to much for my taste.;)
