Hi,
I'm working with a Sigma EF 530 DG super and a Canon 550EX.
I'm trying to work in manual mode and have the flashes fire wirelessly (not using the optical slave feature on the Sig.)
I can get the Sigma to fire the Canon, but I cannot get the Canon to fire the Sigma when I try to reverse roles (ie Canon as master, Sig as slave).
The Canon DOES fire the Sigma when the Sig is in TTL mode, but not in manual mode. The Canon can be in TTL or M mode, it doesn't matter.
The sigma manual says to hold down the SEL button to switch from TTL mode to M mode, but I hold the button for a really long time and nothing happens. I can't get the Sig. to go into manual slave mode.
If I push the Menu button to switch to the Slave screen where you can choose either optical slave (C0) or the two channels (C1 or C2) I can make manual power adjustments, but the Canon will not fire the Sig. on either channel (C0 - optical works fine).
Any ideas? I must be missing something here.
Thanks
Zach
