We all can have different likes and tastes. So the super flat cine gamma shown in the tutorial is much too flat for me and the color grading is more than I want to see in most of my work. Excellent for any who want to color correct or grade all their footage in a project, but I'm content with something like the Cine gamma curve on the Canon HV and HF series camcorders. That tends to be a bit "flat" so I have my HF100's "tweaked' with a slight boost in contrast, brightness, and sharpness.
Picture Styles and the ability to modify them on both the T1i and 7D appears to allow me to match this setting to the cine mode of the HF100's. My first tests in modifying the "standard" style by dropping the contrast and saturation by two marks and setting that up as user defined #1 look promising.
