Wow Kalee very nice! I'll never see a moth in the same way anymore. But try to watch out for the noise in the backround. Theres a free download of Neat image that would be right up your alley.

It looks as though he just came out of a cocoon? His wings aren't fully developed. Nice close-up.

I went and got that program, and I'll tell you that it is absolutly AWESOME!!!!! I am a Photoshop nut, and this works SO much better than the noise filter in Photoshop. I think it's because with the test pattern they provide it allows the program to be tailored to your hardware, be it Digital cam or scanner. Even though this was not meant for me, thanks for the tip, this one is a winner.

Oh by the way, The Moth pics... Very nice. I really need a good macro lens and I may just get the one you used on these pics. :D Could you share with us the details of these shots? Lens used, what settings? etc... Thanks.

thanks for the comments. i had taking some pictures of him the night before,
but with the daylight, the colors seemed more true to life. still learning with
the camera in manual.

100 For the next time, you'd get more depth (sharpness) if you used Av mode & dial in an aperature of f/4 or f/5.6.
F/5.6 @ ISO 200 would still give you a shutter speed of 1/600 sec which should be enough for one-handed shooting! ;-)
