Seeing their faces would be nice.

yeh. the main problem is that on alot of the shot they like to tuck right up. it makes it easier for the to do the trick.
but next time i take shots i will take it into account.

hey pokemon kid, i know that this is really difficult but it is not imposible, it is much easy if you know the trick before your friends do it. and practice and timing and i would see faces and a lot of action.
you are in the right track

pokemon,
my interest in photography came about because of BMX, which expanded into all other aspects. You've got good timing, but I would work on your angles. Look at RideBMX and FATBMX mags, look at the pics. When you watch team/company videos, check out where the angles are being shot from. My other suggestion would be to learn about the basics of photography (exposure, composition, shutter/aperture/ISO etc) before you learn about photoshop. This will help you IMMENSELY down the road. Most of the time, if shot correctly, you won't even need photoshop. Please don't take these comments negatively, as I was in your shoes a little over a decade ago, and am just passing on what I learned. Above all, get out to the trails and skate park and SHOOT! Good luck.
And to give you some more ideas/info, check out this group on Flickr.
