First time shooting a concert. Ran them through Noisewear but other than that, no post work. Not a concert shooter so this was a challenging assignment. Found out that after we left, the barrier was torn down by the audience and some photographers cameras were damaged. Not good. The lighting was not great IMO and this was an outdoor festival. When Shiny Toy Guns played, I thought the light would improve through the set but after the image below, it went to hell in a handbasket so I quit while I was ahead with my one shot. 13 different stages and you didn't know what you got for lighting. Korn loves them some fog machines. Gotta love Jonathan Davis' mikestand.

Yup, concerts are tough! Yup, the mic stand is unusual. Too bad about the light because without you're SOL. Why would anyone want to shoot concerts?

I have to agree with Renay, the lighting was indeed horrid.

I pulled a Dwight and brought my 300 2.8 and shot a little from the crowd after we got the 3 song das boot.

Seriously! I'm never going to a concert assignment without it. I'd much rather sit at the corner of the stage away from everyone else and use the 300 than battle all the jabronies in the pit. The 300 2.8 is literally the perfect lens.

It is my favorite lens. It is always on one of my 1DMIIIs for most if not all of every concert! Mine is tack sharp!

of the 5 posted, i think the leadoff shot is the strongest. good action, loose framing that could stand to be even a tad looser.

5 is a nice exposure, 2 is definitely too hot. 4 is not a bad moment.

post some more of yr Korn shots.
