Length of Canon 300 F4L IS

Please could someone with this lens measure it and let me know how long it is (with lens caps on). As I am buying this lens in the next few days I am having to buy another camera bag and need to ensure it will be big enough.

8 7/8 inches, with lens cap on, "without" a UV type filter installed. 10 3/4 inches with hood extended.

9 3/4" inches with BOTH lenscaps on. Sorry, first measurment from the collar without rear cap.
