Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum and this is one of the first pics I took with my G6. I just got the camera a little over a week ago. Comments and edits are welcome, this is straight out of the camera, only resized. How can I improve this image? Thanks for looking!

hi there. great shot of such an adorable kid. as far as improvements, maybe use a backdrop to clean up the background, and maybe an external flash if you can to help with that red eye. not like it couldn't be removed via computer, but i like to make less work when i can.

What a cool shot, did you use anti-red eye or did you use a flash gun? Just asking cause there is no "red eyes".....?

Thanks for the replies. The camera was actually setting on the edge of my Ottoman and he was in his exersaucer, i had the camera hooked up to my laptop taking my first couple pictures off and i snapped the shot. Full Auto and on camera flash with red eye on.

I have the 420ex, however i recieved it a few days after this shot was taken. The very center of his eyes are actually white in the orignal hi-res shot, they look sorta red now that it's shrunk down

Now that you have a 420 Ex try it again... only this time, bounce the flash off a white ceiling if you have one. You'll be impressed with the results.
