I have a manfrotto tripod with the Rc2 style head and want to get a camdapter plate so I have have a hand strap without a grip.

Has anyone tried their manfrotto standard (not plus) plate with the 7d. How does it fit? Does it block the battery door?

I installed the Camdapter Manfrotto (not plus) plate on my 7D. It fits just fine with no blocking of the battery door.
