(Terrapene carolina) - S/he was in the middle of the road, in no hurry to move on.

Thanks Stan, Tammie.Nice shots of the turtle, ugly road. LOLheh - I sacrificed the highlights on the road to get detail on the turtle, but it was ugly pavement to start with. Cute turtle...I hope there wasn't much traffic and he/she made it across okay.We air-lifted him/her to safety on the shoulder. :)

Wow, nice shots of a beautiful turtle. I don't believe i have seen one in real life.
I pray he/she didn't go back and stay in the middle of the road again after the rescue.:)
