My guess was they started the auction and then for whatever reason decided not to sell and rather than cancel the auction they just changed it to stupid prices.

I think it helps to understand if you are french spoken.

Seems like the person was selling the camera on another site wich doesn't host picts and linked to ebay to show picts. Probably didn't sell through ebay because seller didn't wan't to pay the fees. My 2 cents...
