I need to purchase a bigger memory card. 512MB is probably going to be fine for me.
As far as high speed CF cards go, is there any noticeable benefit in buying one? I don't want to throw money away on a high speed card if the camera isnt fast enough to take advantage of it.
What are most of you guys using? Reccomendations?

very few camera write at high speed - the only difference you will see is when you put the CF card in a PC via a cardreader etc

Whether any given camera will take full advantage of a high-speed card, they all write to the high-speed cards faster than to the older, slower cards. The oldest Canon Rob Galbraith (http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/multi_page.asp?cid=6007-6012) lists is the D60, which writes over twice as fast to a SanDisk Extreme or Lexar 80x as to a standard SanDisk card. That works out to around 3.5 sec advantage per RAW or 1-2 sec. for a L/F JPEG on the D60. So, if you ever need to shoot sequences, a high-speed card's a good idea. It will also be better capable of advancing to your next digital camera and not throttling that back.
