Yes, it sounds like a dumb question, but I am starting to wonder. I have a Digital Rebel. "Which one?" is the question. The manual that came with it says "EOS Digital Rebel/EOS 300D", as if the manual covers two different models. However, throughout the manual, it never makes a distinction between the two. I searched the Canon web site for 300D and had zero hits. How can I find out which model I have?

Skip,

AFAIK, the camera is known in Europe as the 300D and in the US as the Digital Rebel.

Enjoy them both!

I've also seen the 300D/DRebel referred to as "KISS Digital". Not sure where that term came from.

Yes, the Canon EOS 300D is called "Digital Rebel" in the USA, while the 350D is reffered as Digital Rebel XT in the US. So DR (short for Digital Rebel) is the same thing as 300D and the DR XT is the same as the 350D. :)

"Keep It Simple Stupid"...I think that would refer to its ease of use!

I know when I first got my 300D I could take very nice pictures without even moving the setting off Automatic. I really appreciate that camera and all that it helped me learn...my 20D and the people I shoot benefit greatly from the experiences I had with the 300D/Digital Rebel.

A lot of people seem to be getting the names confused.. My uncle had the same problem he had no idea which camera he had... So they are the same camera just a different name.
