What are you using to shoot in infrared? Has your camera been modified? I really dig the shot and have had an interest in infrared photography for a while. I have an old film pentax with infrared film for fun. Though focusing can be a bit tedious with out a lens marked for infrared. I've thought about buying an old 20da or 30d and having it modified then just putting an infrared filter on when I want to shoot normally.

I use the 20DA that is in my signature and some filters. I like to use photoshop as a canvas also. IR daytime photography is an interesting technique and art form. The 20D IR is for sale as I have just acquire another 5D that as soon as this one is sold this 5D is getting IR'ed.

Cheers

Like that moon shot. Is it one image, or a couple blended?

I have a modded 40 and bought an IR filter cheap off eBay. Wasn't til I took some images that it occurred to me - how do you get the blue sky in the images when with the IR filter primarily only allows red through? And it's so dark for focus/composition, too. How do you frame/focus?

I use a filter. Ir pass then It's all in the magic of photoshop. Color balancing and sibtitution. Does something to do when the sky is cloudy with the IR camera. For focus, I try to shoot at very hight fstops. Large DOP.

Cheers

I see. So the actual image you capture is very red?

Yes it is. I then do a white balancing (RAW) and from there it's a electronic painting. But I am only biggining. I still have a lot to go to acheive want I want to do. Light is everthing. Now that I have acquired a grey filter I should be able to manage betterthe light. But doing IR is a '' use the force '' type of art or if you want Zen and trial and error. However allways ready to help if I can. That's what I hope we are here for.
