Which Camera to buy

I'm looking at a used D30 for around $1000.00

It's only 3 Mega pixel.

I currently have a G2 and was curious if it's worth the upgrade.

Isn't a G2 4 Mega pixel?

should I wait to upgrade to 6 Mega pixel like D60?

I too was looking at the D30. Then i figured its really stupid paying 800-1200 dollars on a 3 mp camera. And why would you want to buy a point and shoot digital. im only 18 and I bit the bullet on the D60 because i knew i could utilize the MPs on enlarging the photos and I could change the lens which was my main thing. So yes I would buy the D60.

try finding a D60 on Ebay thats what I did.
