hope this is the correct area, sorry if its not.

I was wondering, how anyone remembers what their photos where shot at? ie: 75-300 @ 150mm, f3.5, 1/25, ISO 200, etc.

Now I know while my CF card is in my camera i can push the "info" button and get the f-stop, ISO, and shutter speed info. But once i've uploaded the photos to my computer can i still get that info? Or if i cannot remember, can I put the pic back onto a CF card, put it back into my camera, and still be able to get that info?

Or are some of you just "that good" that you can look at any one of your photos and tell us all what they were shot at?

Or should I start a "log book" during my adventures of learning photography....?

just curious questions, Thanks for the help!

All files taken off the camera have EXIF data. Read up on it, it has pretty much everything you're talking about. When you edit a photo in photoshop you can have photoshop retain the EXIF data in the new file.

For Photoshop up to at least CS2, File - File Info..., then look into Camera Data 1 and 2. EXIF plugins are available for web browsers, too Am...

In Windows, right click the picture and then "properties", click advanced...

In Firefox, Opera, and other browsers you can view the EXIF of (some) photos as well.
