Mailboxes

These are two of the most unusual mailboxes I've ever seen, and about as opposite in style as can be. The first is at a gift shop in Whittier, Alaska, a quirky little village on Prince William Sound. The shop proprietress is extremely artsy and clever, witness her mailbox that so perfectly represents its location.

The second mailbox is so hip, I can't find words to describe it. It is at a very nice waterfront home (mansion) near St Petersburg, Fl.

I love them! That's one of the things I appreciate about this country. I'll bet you'd never see something like that in, for instance, Germany! (Insert appropriate PC disclaimer here.) ;-)
