Had a very wet day and, due to the raincover on the lense, was unable to adjust the focus ring. Consequently, most of the photos taken at the 70mm end of the 200mm lense

Jimbo,
5 is head and shoulders above the rest for, colour, action and focus.I like it a lot.

The colours look washed out on the rest and a bit weird.

Many thanks for your comments Chris. Had problems converting the images from RAW. The originals were far too dark due to poor light and driving rain. I wrongly changed the White Balance settings and chose either Shade or Cloudy settings, which appear to have given the pics a bit of an orange tint. I now believe that I should have changed the exposure settings in the software. Learning all of the time;)

Hi Jimbo,
Been there got the T shirt.
These days I nearly always shoot in Auto White Balance and adjust later, but also on crap light days that are fairly constant for light, shoot in manual which as long as I keep my eye on the histogram works better for me.

That said, these latest model cameras do an awesome job on exposure usually.

If in doubt, stick with AWB. In spite of some of the rubbish posted in other areas of POTN, AWB works :)
