I was walking through Parqueo de la Paz in Costa Rica, and came across this old gun collection. Let me know what you think.

I shot these with a Canon T1i and my 18-55mm IS lens, on a tripod, and got to say, I am not too happy about the sharpness.

Lot of AKs and Im also sure one of them will still work.
They are not accurate rifles but robust for sure
Maybe heavier pp for #1 would work even better

^^^ Agree, look like a old grouping of variant AK-47 semi-auto/automatic rifles.

Thanks for letting me know what you think. My PP work is still my weakest area, so will work on that, but thanks for the compliments.

For me the image is symbolic. I am not a gun hugger (poking fun at tree hugger) like my hunter friends but I see this image in a futuristic sense should mankind ever decide that violence isn't necessary for a quality life.

At that time, freedom will be dead, and the weak will be oppressed by those who crave and hold power.
I see the image as the death of many things, including the pointless waste of life when countries were afraid to man up and protect others.

Jetcode and Stickman, it is great to hear how two different "visions" could come from the same images. As a bit of history, Costa Rica disbanded their military back in 1949. I got this from wikipedia:
"Costa Rica was the first country to formally abolish military forces. The constitution has forbidden a standing military since 1949. Seat of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and the United Nations' University for Peace."
So I think the display I took pictures of, was in recognition of that. It is a very peaceful country, but have to admit,it relies heavily on political allies that do have very large standing militaries (aka the US).

Aye, and there's the rub.
As far as the photos go, I think you got some good base shots for playing with your PP techniques.
